Apprenticeship as a chef (m/f/d)

As a chef, you will carry out various preparation tasks for the preparation of food. You are an important part of our kitchen team, supporting our trained chefs in the preparation of dishes. You will prepare simple dishes yourself and help with product planning and purchasing. Become part of our kitchen team. Do your best and spoil the taste buds of our guests.

Your tasks:

  • Create menus:

A well thought-out and coherent menu is the basis of every successful restaurant. You help to put together new menus, pay attention to seasonal specialties and the balance of the dishes and try to keep the expectations of different groups of people in mind.

  • Buy ingredients:

To ensure that our dishes are prepared to perfection, high-quality ingredients are of course essential. You will help to check stock levels, place orders and check the quality of delivered goods.

  • Store ingredients correctly:

As a chef, you need to know where and how which ingredients are stored. For example, you will learn why raw meat is always stored separately or how to store potatoes and other vegetables correctly. You will learn about the hygiene regulations in restaurants and how to comply with them.

  • Prepare dishes yourself:

Of course, in addition to organizational tasks, you will also learn how to prepare delicious dishes yourself. In larger kitchens, many chefs often work at different stations to ensure that everything runs smoothly. For example, one chef is exclusively responsible for cutting up meat or filleting fish, while another takes care of vegetables or salads. What makes a good chef is that he is flexible and can use his strengths in all areas.

  • Arrange the dishes:

As we all know, you eat with your eyes – which is why the sophisticated presentation of dishes is extremely important in every high-quality restaurant. You prepare dishes elegantly with flair and precision and hand over the orders to our service staff.

  • Cleaning and tidying up:

At the end of the working day, it’s time to tidy up – unnecessary ingredients have to be disposed of or stored, kitchen appliances and workstations cleaned and the kitchen prepared for the next day. This is all done in strict compliance with hygiene regulations.
